LENTEN MIDWEEK WORSHIP
The Motion of Emotions
Wednesdays February 10-March 25
6:30 pm| Worship Center

During Lent, we journey to the cross and focus on a variety of emotions that Jesus Christ experienced. As we'll learn, emotions have positive and negative aspects. Often our emotions can set a course for determining situational outcomes. Join us as we focus on a different emotion each week (anger, contentment/jealousy, disgust, pride, anticipation, fear, guilt, grief, and celebration). Discover how these facets of our personality relate to Christ, our need for Him, and His love for us. You won't want to miss this creative expression of worship and journey to the cross during Lent.

ASH WEDNESDAY
Wednesday, February 10
4 & 6:30 pm | Worship Center

Ash Wednesday services will include the imposition of ashes and Communion. Ashes, made from palm leaves from last Easter, are applied in the sign of the cross to the foreheads of those who request it. The cross of ashes is a symbol of humility and repentance. It reminds us of our sinful mortality, "for dust you are and to dust you will return" (Genesis 3:19), and how much we need God's mercy in Christ.
