The Holy Spirit is the Breath of Life. Is it any wonder that a Vital Sign for Christians is the presence of God’s Spirt? We celebrate that God breathes into us eternal life. Today, we begin this series with a pre-Christmas reminder that the Breath of Life does not come to us in a hurried, frantic, “over-breathing,” which might be called hyperventilation. He comes quietly through the Word and Sacraments of God.
