We all know about the guy who carried Jesus’ cross. Simon of Cyrene is that guy. We don’t know much about him, but we do know that he had two sons who are mentioned in the Bible. (What a privilege to have your name in the Bible.) Paul references one of them and church tradition suggests the other son, was a part of the Christian community in Rome. What is the father’s role in passing the torch of faith and hope in Christ, to his sons?
