Advent is a season of interesting words. Advent is the beginning of the church year: we “Begin.” Advent is a time anticipating Christmas: we “Wait.” During Advent we get ready for the coming of the Lord at Christmas so we shop, bake, and decorate: we “Prepare.” Finally, Advent signals the coming of the Lord and the last days: we “End.” This December we will explore and develop each of these themes.
