Trinity’s Confirmation Program

Confirmation is a next step for students (7th grade and beyond) to explore faith in a more intentional way. Trinity’s Confirmation Program provides a learning environment that allows students to formulate a deeper understanding of, and relationship with, God. The goal is the confirmation of their faith; boldly proclaiming Christ as Lord, having the knowledge to answer fundamental questions about their faith, and having the tools to continue growing in their faith.

Through At-Home Learning, students, in partnership with their parents, will complete 4 special projects throughout the year along with family discussion questions after each core class.

While we believe in the important role that pastors play in your child’s learning, we also know that parents and guardians have a daily and significant impact in a youth’s faith life. Trinity’s Confirmation program involves parents in the learning process weekly, through family discussion questions at the end of each core class.

We also encourage families to create solid Christian habits in their homes such as

  • Family devotions
  • Attending worship together
  • Creating a space for spiritual conversation

Special Projects (4)
These 4 special projects, completed at the end of each section with parents, will be an opportunity for the youth to show and expand on their learning.

  1. Ten Commandments
  2. The Creed
  3. Lord’s Prayer
  4. Topic of Choice (Approved by pastors or DCE and parents)

Students, along with their families, are required to take part in worship. For a full worship schedule, CLICK HERE.

Students are to attend 30 worship services throughout the year. During the sermon, students are to use the sermon notes handout to help them stay focused and learn. At the completion of the service, students should turn the completed notes in to one of the pastors or DCE to be tracked.
