What is Chromathon Extreme?
As is with many normal events, this year’s Chroma Dash, an event that allows Trinity to fund important programs and equipment that benefit students, looks a bit different this year. Instead of a one-day event with an obstacle fun run, this year students will work together, all year long, to run a total distance of 7,819 miles – the distance from Waconia, MN to our Carepoint in Shashemene, Ethiopia. A true chromATHON!
What will the funds raised be used for?
10% of the net proceeds raised throughout the Chromathon will be sent directly to support the school’s Shashemene Children’s HopeChest Sponsorship. The remaining amount will be used for technology upgrades (Chromebooks, Smartboards, Projectors, etc.) and new athletic uniforms.
A Variety of Donation Options
There are various ways to contribute to Trinity’s fundraising efforts.
- Donate per mile (total amounts listed at online giving link) or choose any amount that works for you
- Choose whether to contribute this amount as a one-time donation or spread it out and set up a monthly (October-May) donation
- Lastly, you can choose to contribute directly to the purchase of specific items such as basketball uniforms, interactive whiteboard, Chromebook, projector, and more!

1,000 MILES RAN! Today, students celebrated their first milestone along the 7,819-mile
journey to Shasamene, Ethiopia as part of this year’s Chromathon school fundraiser. The
day included kickball games, special art projects, picnics, maze building, and special
educational games.

Students spent the day combining their Readathon & Chromathon efforts during Minnesota’s Give to the Max Day! Thank you for the support you showed our students and school as students participated in a Read/Runathon throughout the school day to raise funds, minutes, and miles toward their individual reading goals and the school-wide Chromathon goal.
